SSM Health Care - St. Louis is creating an exciting and innovative health care campus, located in southwest St. Louis County at the intersection of Highway 141 and Bowles Avenue.

SSM St. Clare Health Center will feature:

·         a full-service, 154-bed hospital with the latest in clinical technology and information systems

·         a 24-hour emergency department

·         comprehensive medical/surgical services including heart, cancer, orthopedics and women’s services

·         a medical office building

As a replacement for SSM St. Joseph Hospital of Kirkwood, St. Clare Health Center will offer a greatly enhanced hospital setting with the qualities we know patients prefer – just 4.4 miles from our current site. The project represents a nearly $236 million investment in the local community.

Timeline for completion
Construction began in 2006. SSM St. Clare Health Center will open in Spring 2009.
